Twizel - Arohanui Cottage

Superfijn huisje in de natuur. Wij vonden Twizel aangenaam rustig na alle citystops. Het huisje leent zich ervoor om even tot rust te komen. Het is nog vrij nieuw en goed onderhouden. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. Bed is okee. Douche was geweldig! Eindelijk een goede druk! Wasmachine was fijn om te kunnen gebruiken. Het ziet er mooier uit dan op de foto's!!

Bed en kussens wat minder fijn.

Over priced for one night

Beautiful location , the owner was friendly and had a very sweet dog who enjoyed some pats. We're animal people so didn't mind in the slightest. The bathroom was amazing, just what you need after a long day of exploring is a nice pressured shower , warm towels and warm flooring. The kitchen was well set out and they thoughtfully left some essentials to get us going before heading to the shops. Laundry was very helpful to have after a few rainy trips. Peaceful and quiet , just the whole atmosphere was great. The type of cottage you sit out the front , have a cuppa and just enjoy the nature around you

Only down side was it seemed the heating was on a timer , we'd come home say 4pm and it'd be warm but by 5:30-6pm the house would get cold. We tried adjusting both heat pump switches but it came up as locked and didn't do anything. So the little cottage was cold from 5:30pm until about 8am the next morning. There was luckily enough an extra blanket but on the night it dropped down to -1° , some additional heating would have helped This however didn't put a damper on our stay, we still thoroughly enjoyed it , just thought to mention for the next person who stays

Well equipped modern bungalow on a development of houses and relatively convenient for Mt Cook. Spacious with 2 bedrooms but only had need for 1. SC only but very easy with a well-stocked supermarket a short drive away. Especially useful was the washing machine and iron/board enabling me to launder some clothing and dry it on the line outside whilst we explored the Mt Cook area. Off-road parking fuel station close by and quiet area.

Struggling here, only comment is best not to keep pegs outside in bucket in the sun. Had to sort them from leaves and wash off algae before I could use them and some had perished in the sunlight. Everything else great.
