GH Twizel Holiday Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at GH Twizel Holiday Cottage. Traveling as a group of three, I was especially touched by Teresa’s thoughtfulness—she kindly set up an additional bed in the living room so we could each sleep comfortably. Her warm and attentive hospitality truly made us feel at home. The cottage is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed. It offers the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility.

The holiday cottage in Twizel was fantastic - the photographs don't do the place justice! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There were many personal touches which were greatly appreciated! The host was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the BBQ was a bonus. The stars outside the cottage were amazing; you could see the Milky Way clearly. We would love to stay here again!

It is located in a serene environment and the host is very hospitable. She ensures that the facilities are in immaculate condition and add nice touches such as providing snacks and all necessary toiletries. The bed is comfortable and the rooms smells fresh and clean. Will definitely recommend GH Twizel Holiday Cottage to anyone.

Teresa is very kindly, the room is very beautiful. Everything is excellent.

The place is slightly away from the town centre but it is totally fine as we can see the sky right after we step out of the house. The house is also good enough to keep us warm. Teresa has been a very nice host to check us up during our stay.

The house number sign can be bigger as we failed to find it when we try to check in after sun was down.

The location is superb for star glazing at night, you don’t need to travel anywhere just right outside your foot step is the Milky Way. Room is spacious and clean and the bed is comfortable.

The blind in the living room is see through at night!! No privacy as people can see you from outside while watching TV.

House was exactly as presented. Very clean, well maintained and practical. The night sky views are absolutely true, the stars were amazing at night. Teresa checked up on me when I arrived and was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location to venture out to Aoraki / Mount Cook national park. The house itself was fantastic: the bed was the most comfortable one we’ve had during our entire vacation, everything was spotlessly clean, the bath amenities were fantastic (especially the conditioner) and it had a nice personal touch from the host. The host was very friendly and so nice, it was such a lovely and positive interaction and made us feel right at home. We wish we had stayed longer. Tip: go outside at night, the sky is full of stars!
