Bredon Cottage

Cottage, gardens, views, and vibes are exceptional. Cottage is decorated beautifully and well equipped. The view from the braai is one of the best. Added to this, check in was easy and Sandy met us on arrival. As it was our honeymoon, a bottle of champagne and a few chocolates were provided as well as a few other thoughtful details. Truly perfect!

We loved the incredible setting, the stone cottage charm, the fire places, very well appointed kitchen, super comfy beds and linen, the great braai area with the view. The hosts, Sandy and Rob, even took us for a guided mountain bike ride.

The poor mobile signal bit that is nothing to with the hosts. There was nothing else not to like

The magical setting, stunning cottage, ancient looking trees, the mossy fairy gardens, refreshing eco swimming pool, flowers of all colours, enough area to do a good exercise walk each morning and evening, interesting monkeys doing their own thing, no wifi which is awesome and cozy fire places, a few to choose from.

Parking area little challenging for city car. Maybe extra gravel will help lessen the muddy patches. There are two slippery spots on the front stoep that needs a power spray.

The gardens on the property are something else. You really feel as if you're in a fairytale.

The exceptional setting, the view, the exceptional garden (Applegarth and Bredon), the rhododendrons, the amazing deciduous azaleas (mid-October) and the property as a whole. Particularly also impressed by the Redwoods in the Arboretum. The Edge accommodation has a super Restaurant.

The roads in Hogsback are a disaster! No change in 20 years! But since we were prepared, not a problem.

The stone cottage is beautiful, the views are amazing, garden is stunning and the pool was such an added bonus to a magical place.

The house was spacious, had everything we could need, and the fireplaces took the chill out of the house. The view was unbeatable and the monkeys and birds that we saw every day was amazing.

Fireplace in the lounge did not seal 100% and left a bit of a smokey smell.

Warm welcome with fire burning on arrival, Sandy a perfect hostess. Spoiled with a good bottle of red wine, rusks for breakfast, chocolates, etc. Small things matter. Beautiful gardens and views. For us, 10/10

Secluded property with a big natural garden. 2 x fireplaces for winter and lots of free wood.

2nd bathroom door is not 100% private. Add a pull down blind on the inside
