Rebecca's Cottage

The location of the property provides a place of privacy and serenity. The accomodation is environmentally friendly.

Rebecca's cottage is small but comfortable for 3 adults -or even 4 - and is located in a quiet area of beautiful Clarens with many lovely walks throughthe conservancy, around the country roads and up the mountain. Having ones own little private garden with a large veranda was a blessing and there are 2 braais anda nice lawn to lie on at night for star gazing (& you might even see a shootingstar as we did). The hosts,Ric and Anne, couldn't have been kinder even though we booked at the last minute - Ric offered(&gave) my husband a lift into town when our car had problems and popped in with TWO coffee plungers when, in response to his query, we said that was the only thing we could think of that was missing from the cottage. They also gave recommendations on restaurants, place to do laundry etc. The outdoor shower (made out of a corrugated iron water tank) was great. Thanks so much Ric and Anne for your hospitality we'd love to come back soon.

Location is close to Clarens nature reserve. Pets can join hikes. Nothing else.

The accommodation is very small. This is not clear from the advert at bookings.com. One bedroom has only a tiny window (30x30 cm). The shower is in an outhouse, dustbins were full when we arrived, garden poorly maintained, kitchen is so small that two people cannot work at the same time, some cupboards do not open properly as they hit the slope of the roof. We felt claustrophobic. Very difficult to park more than one car. Only one set of keys. House is in principal just a roof. `due to that it gets extremely hot inside.

It is a very sweet, cozy spot. Peaceful and quiet, but close to town and the nature hikes. Just lovely!

The garden front and back. Perfect for my dog. Covered braai area and facilities. Comfortable furniture. Close to the square/shops.

Getting used to not bumping my head at bathroom basin. Need more perimeter lighting and permanent light for parking area. Its very dark. Not clean under the beds. Fridge freezer section iced up. Very difficult to get anything in to keep frozen.
