Highbourne Cottages

Het uitzicht is fenomenaal. Het huis is comfortabel en mooi ingericht, de keuken is goed uitgerust. Heerlijk om hier een aantal dagen te verblijven.

De weg naar het huis vanaf de hoofdweg vond ik wel een uitdaging (understatement). Het huis ligt ver van winkels, pinautomaat etc.

Fantastisch uitzicht, mooi ruim en gezellig huis en dichtbij het startpunt van verschillende wandelroutes. Een kleine supermarkt met alle basics is ongeveer 10 minuten rijden. We waren er maar drie nachten maar hadden er graag een paar aan vast geplakt.

My stay at Highburn Cottages was exceptional. It’s a truly beautiful place with breathtaking views, fresh air, and immaculate facilities. I was extremely happy during my time there. My sister and I had a wonderful experience — every day brought something new to discover, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The cottage itself was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. I would highly recommend staying at Highburn Cottages, and I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

I loved everything

The location is great and the garden beautiful. More than enough room inside the cottage.

The wood stove (wood not included), which is the only heating beside some hot water bottles, is too small to heat the entire cottage in winter. Also the rugs on the floor need some cleaning. Staff can also be quite noisy in the morning. Probably the worst bed in the 3 week trip across South Africa, but okayish.
