Chalet 81 South Shore Bridlington 2x Bedroom Detached Chalet Sleeps 4

Canny litt chalet, great location, not far from beach & transport to town,quiet, pet friendly,nice big sofa's & comfortable.beds were comfy & shop nearby,park & ride buses to town nearby along with a bar /cafe at park & ride we had everything we needed..😊

Could do with better cutlery & updating, some of the other chalets to let we're beautiful & made ours feel abit dated old & shabby,don't get me wrong, we were happy there but u cud massively improve the place by updating,I'm just being honest..

Wasn’t very clean, no grill pan couldn’t cook there , needs revamp.

Accommodation stated wheelchair accessible,but was only accessible into living room,couldn’t get wheelchair into bathroom or bedroom,was unable to stay .

Very hard to find number 81 as it is situated in the middle of numbers in their thirties! When we arrived the number code we had for the key safe was wrong . We had printed off instructions from booking.com and the code was wrong. I phoned the owner and he gave us the correct number. He had emailed it to me that morning but I hadn’t checked my messages yet that day. The shower floor needs attention as the flooring is coming up, I think it’s swelling through water escaping from the shower doors, as they don’t fit properly and the rubber seal is very loose. There are other things need attention like the mattresses being well over sized for the single bed frames and so difficult to sit on the edge of the single bed.

Everything was jst excellent the short distance to the beach was perfect

So me and my friends booked this place because we were going up to. Bridlington for Race the Waves. Seemed like a good price and in a great location. Saturday morning comes we travel to bridlington quite early as the racing starts at 11 so we set off from the midlands at 7 am. We had been there an hour when I received a message from the host for the code to the lock box and some other bits of information, one of which was that they dont supply towels even though on booking.com it says they do. So I asked if they could put some in the chalet as that's what is advertised and the response was "we dont do that due to hygiene reasons". Ok so a little lack of communication there maybe I could be partley to blame, still it was advertised as towels supplied so I was a bit miffed at having to go and buy one. So 17.30-18.00 the racing finishes and we decided to go and check in. We had a good look around and it soon became apparent that not supplying towels due to hygiene reasons must have been a joke!!!! Unfortunately the place was filthy (and I dont use that word lightly) dirty cutlery, oven was filthy , heaters were all mukky, walls by the cooker were filthy, blinds in the kitchen had never ever been cleaned and the rugs in the place had definitely never seen a hoover!! Not to mention there was some kind of excrement on the dining table chair (bird i think) This is just a small amount of what it was like. The place was also in quite a bad state of disrepair and could do with stripping back to bare bones and refurbing. I ended up using my own sleeping bag which fortunately was still in my van from a camping trip and my own pillow which I take everywhere anyway. We never ate in the chalet as we couldn't bring ourselves to so eneded up spending more on eating out than we had planned. We had booked a self catering place so we didn't have to eat all our meals out. Only thing we did eat there was Cereal but I used my own camping utensils and bowls for that.

The chalet looked very nice when we stepped in..The position of the chalet was good..

We had to wash cups, cutlery glasses. Even the bowl in the sink was grimey.... The bedding and pillow slips were stained. The floor was gritty dusty grimey throughout..Just disgusting!!!...The vacuum was full of debris. Hair etc...(Not clean).. A rusty little bathroom bin, we never used it..No space for the food we took. I cleared a little shelf.. Electric metre seems to be incorrect reading. When we got there £150.10...when we left £151.32, we could not tell what we had used, to pay..... The plug in the bathroom sink was extremely difficult to drain out water..(sticking)... Chalet was clean and well equipped close to the beach, quiet location, pet friendly will definitely book again.
