Fuaim na Mara - Self Catering Pod

The pod was lovely and had everything you would need. It was very clean and cosy, with lovely underfloor heating. It also had a good shower. We liked the location as well.

Unfortunately in our opinion, the bed was very small and the mattress rolled into the middle so was not comfortable. Also, with the bathroom having a curved roof my husband could not stand up straight using the loo.

Loved the location of the pod and it had all the facilities that we required. We had email contact with the owner to confirm our arrival time and also to let them know when we would be leaving very early to catch an early ferry. This all went well.

Everything was good as far as we were concerned so there wasn't anything that we didn't like

Well appointed -all you will need; comfortable, warm and cosy; friendly, helpful host; close to restaurants-the ‘Dunes’ restaurant within ‘The Black Island Hotel’ -is a short walk away; beach is within walking distance.

A pity the pod didn’t face the other direction away from the houses-maybe this is due to local regulations. The property is not that easy to find, the sign at the end of the lane needs redoing.

Location and cleanliness.

A vent over the cooking area would be ideal to ventilate while cooking to avoid having to open the door.

Pod fornito di ogni comodità, pulitissimo, in posizione caratteristica e tranquilla, comodissima per visitare l'isola. I proprietari sono davvero stati gentilissimi, rendendosi super disponibili per risolvere una nostra difficoltà subentrata per l'arrivo della tempesta Floris. Grazie di tutto!

Cosy, clean and very central.

We had a few nights staying here. The pod is very comfortable and cosy for 2 people and we had everything we needed. The bed was also really comfortable. Situated on Benbecula, it was within easy reach of both North and South Uist. There is a hotel five minutes walk away which served very good food.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great but we still had a great time!

The pod was well furnished, clean and contained everything we needed. The central location was excellent for visiting the north and south of the island. We would happily go back.
