As soon as I made my reservation, I could already tell I would be sad when it came time to leave.The hosts were very responsive and clear in their communication, giving great instructions and accommodating an early check in which we appreciated after our red eye flight. Silvia took great care of us. The room is very comfortable for two people and stylish. The jacuzzi with a view of Pico was perfect. The area is quiet and peaceful, with backyard views of Pico and front yard views of vineyards and the ocean. It's a short walk to a winery where you can book a tasting and a 15-20 minute drive into the main town. We strongly recommend Casas do Amarelo and hope to be back. It's simply perfect.

Amazing stay, highlight of our time on the Azores. Very peaceful location with easy access to other parts of the island and close to a vineyard. Beautiful views of the sea and pico. Attentive hosts with great facilities. Can’t wait to visit again!

We had the perfect stay at Casas do Amarelo — it was exactly what we needed for a week on Pico Island! The view of the ocean while having dinner was simply stunning. The kitchen was well-equipped for a week’s stay, and the hot tub was an absolute highlight — especially after hiking Mount Pico in snow and rain! It felt like pure luxury to relax there after such an adventure. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated with such great taste — every detail has been thought through. It’s quiet, peaceful, and ideally located: there’s a supermarket just around the corner, a lovely swimming spot nearby, and plenty of scenic walking trails in the area.

Unique experience, good layout. Liked the backyard with jacuzzi after climbing the mountain. Sylvia was helpful with recommendations and was very responsive about any questions we had. View of Pico mountain from the backyard and an ocean view from the front. Located on a quiet backroad - rental car is a must.

Amazing!!

Property is amazing- very nice deco, cute yard with hammock and sun beds + jacuzzi with the view on mountain Pico! Extra points for great hosts - they are super attentive and nice - helped with our requests and checked-in to make sure we have a great stay. A lot of nice details- bathrobes, extra towels for jacuzzi, bikes and helmets available. It is also quite easy to find the property and it is a comfortable driving distance to the main sights.

Great little house in a very quiet neighbourhood, but also not too far away from everything, if you have a rental car. The owners are very determined to fulfill your wishes and are proactively reaching out to you

Nothing, the only little thing was that the kitchen was a little bit small for us to properly cook something in the evening, but the restaurants on the island are lovely and not very expensive

We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Casas do Amarelo. It‘s location in the wine yards around Sao Mateus is very unique and so calming. You can see the ocean while sitting in front of the house and one evening we spotted a group of dolphins passing by while eating dinner. The bicycles, the jacuzzi and the beautiful architecture made our stay perfect. The communication with Bruno and Paulo was very easy and we were warmly welcomed by Silvia. We loved every minute and hope to come back soon.

Our stay at Casa do Amarelo was nothing short of exceptional. The spacious room provided the perfect retreat after exploring the area. Waking up to the stunning ocean view was a daily treat. Bruno and Paulo were the most welcoming and helpful hosts we could have asked for. Their local tips were invaluable in making the most of our trip. Their kindness and warm hospitality truly made us feel at home. We can’t recommend Casa do Amarelo enough. It's a hidden gem with extraordinary hosts. Thank you for everything!
