"Hondeklipbaai is not a holiday destination that we would recommend"

Can highly recommend the restaurant next door "Rooi Spinnekop"

Future guests need to be warned just how bad the road is to get to Hondeklipbaai...in a 2x4 it took us 2 hours each way to do 53km

"Great hosts and beatiful secluded area."

The hosts were very helpful with anything we asked them. Any issues we had were fixed quickly. The rooms and beds were very clean. The braai possibilities are good and the common area is very nice. Accessible by 2x4. We had no problems with our Suzuki Swift on our way there, but a 4x4 would definetly be better. We saw a lot of cool animals on the dirt road to Hondeklipbaai. Hartebeest, Steinbook, a Cape Fox and more.

There was some "gas trouble". It could be because I´m not that used to gas applications. There was some smell of gas in the kennel we stayed at. We fixed it by turning of the gas valve to the stove.

"We recommend the accommodation for anyone who is looking for a tidy and clean accommodation with self-catering facilitie"

The accommodation was clean, tidy and equipped with the necessary items (but no hairdryer). It was suitable for our needs (2 couples), however, the kitchenette is part of one bedroom. For us no problem, as we only stayed one night. The manager was very kind and went out of his way to attend to our special requests, e.g. waited for us as we arrived after 8p.m. and gave us a hot water bottle.

The shower in one of our bathrooms had a leak which the manager was not aware of.
