Ribboksfontein Guest Farm

This spacious house is absoltuley beautiful located on a farm with wild animals. I wished we could have stayed longer. The house offers everything you need and more.

The location of this guest farm was perfect - just outside De Rust on the road to Uniondale. The house is set well off the district road and set up against the hills behind the house. It was lovely to see the wild animals around the property. Great to take a walk in amongst the Springbok, Giraffe, Eland, Wildebeest etc... The house was large and very well equipped with everything you might need for a get away. It was clean, neat and tidy. It had a large communal area with a fire place and large verandah that runs around the entire house. Ideal for sitting and enjoying the scenery and animals... or reading a book.

On arrival we did have an issue with the WiFi. The hosts did however get this sorted the following day. The house does not have cell reception, so while the WiFi was a problem we had to walk or drive to the district road to get reception - not ideal if you had work to do / monitor. The WiFi is also capped so no streaming is possible. The main access gate from the district road is not ideal. It is a chain with a lock and therefore requires you to get out of the car each time you arrive or leave the farm.

We had a wonderful stay! Just wished there were an explanation of how the hot tub is working.

Everything was truly amazing the only negative comment I can deliver is probably the chain on the front gate is a bit to short
