Well set up for self catering, with everything you might need thoughtfully provided. Very peaceful setting: just the owls to hear at night, and with very little light-pollution the starry skies were amazing.

It is well suited for travelling between the local towns

The property is pretty run down, we were situated with a dead bush and overgrown pathway as our view

Die Lage war schön. Der Vermieter war freundlich. Die Hütte war wie beschrieben.

Es hätte etwas sauberer sein können und die Hütte müsste mal wieder renoviert/einiges erneuert werden (die Fenster und die Tür gingen schwer zu öffnen). Für uns war das französische Bett (1,40m) zu schmal, aber die Größe war klar.

Despite the storm and power outage that forced us to book another place for two nights just to have electricity, we still had a pleasant stay.

Lovely location near where I wanted to be. Sits beside a country lane off the main road. Set in a fenced garden area on the edge of farmland and near major roads for travelling out and about. Modern cooking facilities with adequate crockery and utensils. Fabulous hot shower with large emersion tank so plenty of hot water.

No paperwork relating to the lodge and facilities equipment or local area. PAT testing on electrical equipment overdue since March 2025. Antiquated meter system for electricity but it works. Black mildew patches in the bathroom and bedroom from dampness. No backup facilities in place or offered in the event of a power cut, we were without electricity due to Storm Amy for 48 hours of my stay. Fortunately I had friends staying locally who I went there to visit who had a cottage with log burner and camping gas cooker so stayed over with them. A couple in the chalet next to me said they were given a hot water bottle and an extra blanket. Glass fronted ceiling to floor which offered no privacy unless the curtains were closed and lights turned on even during the day. The curtains were too long for the windows, had been glued up and due to damp were no longer staying turned up looking a mess. Fire extinguisher was covered in cobwebs and dust. While it had some good points it clearly needs some upgrading and attention in areas. When I clicked to reserve it said "reserve with a promise to pay" and took the full amount from my bank immediately. That may have been booking.com rather than the owner.

Sehr gemütliches kleines Chalet mit guter Heizung! Küche ist super ausgestattet. Wer Kaffee will muss sich Kaffeepulver mitnehmen. Trockner und Waschmaschine vorhanden 😅 Andrew und Helene sehr nett und bemüht. Gute Lage für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen!

Bett für 2 Personen knapp ( 140cm) Leider war es nicht wirklich sauber, Boden, Türen und Dusche könnten definitiv mehr Reinigung vertragen

Las instalaciones eran muy buenas, aunque es pequeño, tiene de todo para poder pasar una buena estancia. Y la ubicación es muy buena.

La ducha era algo pequeña.
