Lahic Hostel

I dreamt of finding a village like Lahic and of staying in place like this building. The character, the atmosphere, the old men drinking tea and playing board games downstairs, the beautiful mosque opposite, the kindness of the owner, the scent of old timber, the apple trees in the garden, the stove in my room keeping tosty all night, the veranda where you can sit for hours and just watch this tiny Azeri micro universe go by. It's magical, it's a painting, a poem, it's something of another world. Nobody speaks a word of English and why should they? You don't go to Lahic to speak English, you shouldn't. My room was immaculate, the bed was comfy, it all felt like a warm Azeri hug.

There's nothing not to like about fairly tales.

It was an amazing hospitality, Irshadat is a very kind man, I enjoyed staying with him and have a conversation although the language borders but it was very fun, I hope I visit this hostel once again

It is a beautiful old house with hallways and balconies around a quiet green garden. The guesthouse is located at a small square with small grocery shops around the corner. Rooms are simple but clean and well equipped. The owner is very nice, friendly, and helpful.

Comfortable room with nice wooden decoration. Communal balcony overlooking the square. Very helpful owner who went above and beyond e.g. helped me with the bus.

It was cheapest accommodation I could find here in Lahic. I saw some bad reviews so I was worried a bit, but the place is perfectly fine for the price. Old worn out building yes, but it was pretty clean, the room was spacious, with a balcony, and the owner was so very hospitale although he didn't speak English. If you expect some kind of a hotel, this isn't it. But for the price, I find it to be perfectly adequate place to stay. I slept here for 2 nights.

Did not even get the chance to access the property because it was shut. Despite confirming availability on booking, the property was closed and was not receiving any tourists/guests. Had instead to find alternative accommodation, which in the end worked out luckily. Very disappointing.

Did not like the fact that property closure was not properly and before-hand communicated. Sending a message would have not done any harm. Had to figure out I had to find alternative accommodation arrangements only in situ, in Lahic. So, in low season I do not recommend even trying to book there.
