Beautiful location, nice looking cabin, comfortable bed

Some items in disrepair (window crank, blind, broken tiles) towels were low quality and no floor towel, lighting was not adequate for cooking

It's a cozy little cabin which allows you a forest bathing experience!

Nothing to complain about here!

The Refuge is in a lovely peaceful location with beautiful views across the St Lawrence. There’s a deck out front to relax and enjoy the views and listen to the rushing stream nearby. There’s also a fully enclosed BBQ area which is great in the evenings to avoid insect attacks. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cutlery plus a decent range of cooking appliances. Jacques was lovely and gave us a very warm welcome and a very thorough run through of all the property’s features.

The single bed on the top bunk has a couple of large cushions rather than a mattress. If you can’t communicate in French, I recommend you let Jacques (the owner) know in advance to arrange appropriate check in arrangements. He had to make last minutes changes and come across personally to check us in. The lighting, notably in the kitchen, is quite poor. I could only find the light of the range-hood :))
