Driftwood WINTERTON VALLEY ESTATE Dog Friendly

We liked the location. Lovely walks along the coast. Being able to take our dog. Quiet at night. Plenty of towels.

We booked this based on the previous reviews, which had set our expectations high. Unfortunately, we didn't find everything quite as amazing as others have said. We found it not to be as clean as expected so I don't know if there was a problem with the cleaner on this partucular occasion: the fridge was very smelly, spilt milk that had not been cleaned and the fridge switched off and door closed. The bin lid was dirty with food and drip marks, the table cloth was dirty. We were left with 2 used sponge scourers sticking with food and we had to wash any crockery, pans, utensils and cutlery before using. We couldn't use the kettle as it was furred up and full of flaking deposits from the hard water. These are annoying things that are not difficult to get right with basic cleaning. There were ants throughout the property and there appears to be an ants nest under the bath. The shower temperature was very difficult to control and water pressure very weak. Not a great experience. Bed was very firm and duvet very heavy, although we slept ok as it was nice and quiet.

Everything was just perfect. Kathy was an amazing host, communication was excellent, chalet was spotlessly clean and brilliantly equipped. Perfect location for our mini moon and Kathy even left us bubbles 🥂 in the fridge which was so kind. We will definitely be returning.

Absolutely nothing other than having to leave !

We had a lovely stay at Driftwood! The chalet was very clean and well equipped, it had everything we needed. It was furnished and decorated very nicely, and was clearly well maintained. It was a good size and is in a great location, only 5 minutes walk to the beach. We would definitely stay again!

WiFi would have been an added bonus!
