Mellow Fellow Hostel

The location but just that and nothing else.

It was unclean and unsafe. Local kids were taking drugs and partying in the rooftop bar past 2 am. There were no other guests except one sexual predator from Rajasthan called Hitesh. Only one 22yo kid was responsible for the entire dorm and he had no idea what to do at all. He was also drunk since morning. The toilet was swimming in poop and pee and there were no door locks. Drugged out local kids forced their way into our room at around 2.30 am and tried to rape me. Then they threatened to ruin me in the morning because I wouldn't give in. No one in the hostel arrived to help even after reaching out continuously. It was a nightmare to say the very least and I would like all my money back unless they want me to take this to court.

Convenience and the location. Located at MG Marg. Lots of restaurants are located in very close distance. The Hostel is located on the second floor.

Flooring and decor can be more aesthetic and welcoming.

The stay was wonderful. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Sonam is such a welcoming person and the staff were also great. The location couldn't have been more perfect. I wish I could have stayed for longer !

I recently stayed at Mellow Fellow, Gangtok, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had on a trip! The stay was super comfortable, and the vibe of the place was just perfect for travelers. The common area upstairs offers a stunning view of the hills — a great spot to relax, chill, and meet new people. A special mention to Sonam, who’s not just a great host but truly feels like a brother and a friend. Every evening we all sat together, shared stories, and enjoyed his amazing singing — those moments made the trip truly memorable. The location is unbeatable — right on MG Marg, making it easy to explore the city, cafes, and local markets. Thanks to Sonam and the entire Mellow Fellow team for making my Gangtok trip so special. I’ll definitely come back again soon! ❤️
