Odin Hostel Shoja

Ambience was good and they did a warm welcome. Staffs were quite cooperative. We enjoyed a lot there.

The guys running the hostel were nice

Overpriced in my opinion. The place dont look like the photos, specially the common area. Also it didnt look very clean and the windows were pretty dark with dust My dorm was empty but the two trash bins were full to the brim and no soap on the washroom Even it gets very cold they don't provide heaters, not even in the common area and also having a stove there they didn't turn it on (even after i asked) There were noisy guests in the floor below until late in the night and the hostel didn't try to make them low the volume down I had a tali for dinner and both the veg and dal were more cold than hot. They gave me two additional rotis because the rice was in the making (i was told this after i asked for the rice because they didn't comunicate). They later brought the rice and the next day when i was doing the checkout they wanted to charge for the two rotis that I hadn't ordered! I was thinking on staying longer but after that first night i left

The location... was just wowwwww!! Could see the sunset just standing in the balcony upstairs. And the entire road of Shoja was visible from there. Common hall was huge.. The Valhalla!! Owner aunty was too cute and she did take me to the waterfall which had a bit difficult trail especially cause it had rained. Met some interesting travellers there, some hard core, some bikers and some poker lovers and some insect admirers 😀!!Arup the host guided about the nearby spots. Location was best with respect to nearby amenities too. Bus stop for Jalori and back to kullu was nearby. There was a lawn too but couldn't enjoy it due to continuous downpour. It was indeed a very good deal for the price. Would definitely recommend for both solo and groups.

Rooms were little congested with no ventilation. First day i was in a room upstairs which didn't have windows which could be opened. Downstairs it was ok.
