A Fantastic Stay at Perkup Hostel, Comfort, and Exceptional Service from Staffs... Highly recommended 👌 👍 💯

I loved the location and the cafe, pretty good. The staff were pretty good and very very polite and helpful.

The dorms were okay but the bathroom was severely messed up. I don’t blame the staff cause they can’t be doing this thing. Maybe they can keep someone who specialises in the management of toilet facilities

Positives : Good location. Good aesthetics. Comfy beds. Clean washrooms. Situated right in front of the river. Have all basic facilities. Nearby a lot of cafes and food joints. The wine shop is also very close by.

Negatives : Not a warm welcoming staff. The entire staff felt a little self occupied in their own world. I have stayed in plenty of hostels and generally I liked the places where staff is quite approachable. Here I did not feel that vibe. So I cut short my stay and moved to another place. I stayed there for two nights & three days. There were no activities planned for travelers in the common area. There was a power cut for an entire day so I could not charge my phones/laptops and also had to sleep in warm / sweaty dorm room for almost half a day. (So No power backup I am guessing) Last night of my stay - I was asked to change my dorm bed at 1 am because some other traveler couple had checked in and they wanted the balcony dorm room?? Funnily, I fail to understand the logic. You make one guest happy by by bothering another guest. Didn't work for me. Now I understand that all of the above things at a hostel aren't too big to be put in a negative review. I have stayed at other hostels and Such things happen when you are managing a property but that's exactly you should know how to compensate. By being extra polite. By talking to guests. By establishing a connection with them. Not by staying in your own world. By asking them whether they would need any assistance or even minor chit chat, games, activities etc. etc. Felt that human touch missing entirely. Final Tip: Group travelers don't require your attention as much as solo travelers do. There is a reason why people travel solo. To meet and interact with like minded people. This will help your hostel grow much more and attract much more diversified travelers to your hostel as opposed to only couples/group of friends. 👆
