idilic location

we had absolutely no phone reception in our lodge for the duration of our stay

The location was excellent. It felt like the middle of nowhere but was only a short drive to shops and pubs. The hot tub was ready when we got there. Checked in and out easily.

Huge pot holes were the first issue. When we got in the chalet we quickly realised the water was not working and contacted the number provided via txt as requested. We were told there was a pipe problem locally and hopefully it would be fixed soon. Although this was not the parks fault, there was no heads up, although their quick reply would suggest they were already aware of the problem, and no offer of bottled water. Our next issue was a small blood stain on a pillow. When the water was back on, we tried the ensuite shower only to discover that the temperature dial was broken, the shower would start at a reasonable temperature and then go beyond tolerable. The shower in the main bathroom just dribbled. It dribbled all over the floor. We used towels to dry it but then discovered the heating was not working and we couldn't dry them. Although it was not really an issue, it looked like someone had punched the fridge multiple times and the lower shelf in the fridge door was broken off.

Lodge was absolutely beautiful very clean and well equipped would definitely return

WiFi reception wasn't very good which made the stay even more enjoyable time to switch off and spend much needed family time together

A relaxing atmosphere and the cabin was nicely laid out, the hot tub was nice

The showers one was really hot the other one was cooler but the shower head needed replacing and the pressure wasn’t very good in that one

Everything we had a great stay

The mattress was so uncomfortable it was lumpy and sagged in the middle. I was waking up every hour and back aching. I did raise it as the mattress was 2008 (checked label) But no spare and was given a duvet and so slept on the sofa and even though legs longer and it was not horizontal, so much more comfortable than the bed.

The area was very private we hardly saw or heads anyone around even though it was fully booked. The lodge was beautiful, very relaxing and great for some time away. Every where was clean and hot tub was perfect.

The rooms and bathroom was missing sides to put things on but could work with it
