Blife Sun Hostel & Rooms

Close to the airport. The staff are very helpful and friendly and they even let me leave my bike while I was back home for Xmas until I stayed again in early January. I will aways use this hostel for my first and last night in Faro. It’s also very cheap so it’s really good value.

I Wasn’t there long enough to make up a detailed assessment as I move on after one night.

The location was nice, close to the airport and not too far away from the city centre either. The staff member (Erik?) who checked me in was very professional and super nice, and did a great job at fixing certain mistakes made by other people. Amazing customer service on his behalf, nothing bad to say about his work. The Finnish volunteer was also excellent. Lovely view from the balcony as well.

Some of the volunteers should probably reconsider their choices and mindsets a little bit. When someone almost gets assaulted, ”do you want to change your room?” isn’t exactly the appropriate thing to give as an only response. The longer term employee did his best to deal with the situation later on when he came to work, but when the person in charge at that specific moment hasn’t asked for ANY details or information, or done anything to make sure there’s consequences, it’s really impossible for others to do anything about this thing later on, when they have barely been given any information. Erik(?) did a brilliant job but what comes to the volunteer, it was a bit difficult to feel safe as a woman for a while, when it felt like nothing was taken seriously at first.

The Location,you have to travel alot to catch the transport.

It's near the airport and ludo hiking area. There are lockers (need own lock) Lady only showers and toilets available Big kitchen Good wifi Quiet

1)Cleanliness: probably it's more about guests than the hostel because there was a cleaning lady coming in the morning, but people just leave their dirty plates in the sink and food in the pans!!! Even it's clearly written it's not allowed. 2)Someone checked in the room with awful bad smell, it was nearly possible to stay in, seriously!!!! 3)It was not possible to change upper bed to lower one even lower beds were free and new checked in people were also placed on upper beds 3) blanket too thin, it's cold at night in winter 4) you need to pay to leave luggage Overall it's what you pay for.
