Pondok Muwa Guest House

The property is located just off the main road of the monkey forest down a little alley, so very close to restaurants, shops, bars etc which was handy! The staff working there were very accommodating to us and always offered help with bags, trip bookings and more. The room was great, beds were comfy to sleep in, the property provided lovely view over a rice field to another property which was lovely, the nature at night was amazing (the sounds) We were the only people in the property for the most part as the property didn't have many bookings and the other people who had booked were there for only 1-2 nights but we stayed 5 nights and the staff would leave us to our own devices really which was good that we were able to be there peacefully in the evenings etc.

I would say the bathrooms could do with an update and a better shower as the shower did only come out like a little trickle so was difficult to have a proper shower. A little Tlc would make the property a 10/10! The breakfast options are limited to pancakes or toast which both are lovely but a wider variety could be given. The bathroom at one point did present an unusual smell which we thought was a possible pipe leak. The walk to the property could do with an update too as the path is quite rickety and broken which I suppose is not the properties fault but can be a little unnerving in the dark night.

The lock wasn’t working well and was locked inside the room. Contacted the property manager and he responded immediately.

Really clean spacious rooms. Friendly staff & really good location for getting around Ubud.

Can be a little noisy with the bars being so near, but the live music usually finishes around 11.30pm

It’s in the very centre of Ubud, lots of cafes and Resturant’s within walking distance. Comfortable bed good enough for a solo traveller Great shower pressure and warm water all the time (I left my original accommodation because of the bathroom 🫠 so I’m happy this one was more suitable) Owner was very kind and gave you your privacy Good AC

Could use a kettle in the room Slightly over priced for what you get, it’s a very simple room could be a few euros cheaper in my opinion
