Lazy Bear Best Hostel in Kandy

The owner who runs the place, the cleaning lady and overall the best experience in Kandy. We became good friends instantly.

Osoblje je jako ljubazno, žena koja me je dočekala je sve pripremila, bilo je čisto i udobno. Bila sam sama u sobi. Ima tople vode što je plus. Internet je bio dobar.

Objekat se nalazi na brdu, pa nije baš najlakše za vraćanje nazad u objekat. Ja sam koristila tuk tuk.

The big tarantula crawling out while I was in the bathroom, I couldn't sleep after that.

Nice calm place. Very helpful hosts. Very clean and peaceful. Well kept garden around and you see monkeys playing around too some days. If you don’t mind walking, Walk down the main road to the lake and then walk around the lake to get to the temple and city centre. A 30 min walk to the city centre. Tuk Tuk will take you 10 min. But the walk is really nice as you can walk along the lake getting nice views.

Well the only thing is there is no kitchen so you can’t make any food as you can in some hostels. But you can ask the hosts for what you want and they try to accommodate you.

La habitación era cómoda y el personal muy amable. Me encantaron las zonas comunes donde poder socializar con otros huéspedes.

The property is relatively easy to find with a sign outside saying Lazy bear inn. The owner wasn’t there but the house cleaner came and checked us in however was a bit hard to get in contact with for check in. The room was clean and the beds were nice. It is close to town but you may struggle to walk down the busy roads, we did it twice and is only 10-15 minutes to town and temple of the tooth so definitely possible, otherwise Tuktuks are relatively easy to get but cannot drive all the way to the temple due to a no drive barricade so will have to walk 5 minutes. The actual property has hot water shower and simple bathroom facilities, small ant infestation but nothing that can’t be handled.
