"Don’t believe the high rating"

1.0

The location is quite beautiful.

The staff were terrible. The unfriendliest checkin ever. We were forced to pay cash because the card machine was ‘broken’. As there is no ATM in Minca this is highly inconvenient. But since we had cash we didn’t complain. As soon as we handed it over the girl got all irritated that we didn’t have exact change, the amount was something like 606.500 and I paid with 620.000 so that was ridiculous. We were then sent up the hill to the hotel (checkin is at the bottom of the hill) and had to wait for an hour until someone came up and showed us our room. The room turned out to be open and had the key in the door so we waited for nothing. The three days of our stay we saw no other staff at all. No one cleaned anything. There is a bar and a little shop next to the common area but they were never opened. Bedrooms are next to the common area so if people were noisy it was impossible to sleep. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and linens had stains on them. Mosquito nets didn’t fit.

"Relax in the nature"

Quiet. Beautiful view from public terrace and 3 beds room. Terrace with hammocks and large community room.

Ok for us and connected to the silence of the spot : it is a 10-15 min walk uphill from the village.

"A pleasant place to rest for a few days"

9.0

Arrival at night with a taxi was manageable but be prepared it is a HIKE up from the first reception area. The staff greeted me with a glass of cold water which I was super appreciative of. The dorm is small and only able to have a max amount of people in it at one time so this did mean I made more subtle connections with other fellow travellers, waking up and then having breakfast together etc. The private mirador is a sweet touch also but the lack of restaurant was a bit of a snag in the experience meaning you had to eat before coming up in the dark or order from the right place early enough if you wanted those options. A very sweet and friendly cat was always around looking for a hug but be warned I did get bit a lot in the main common room area especially at night but this is typical for the area. Very clean facilities, fresh towels and laundry that was cleaned adequately.

The beds could of been softer and more options for snacks / drinks if needed later at night. The breakfast whilst it was delicious with fresh juice, tea or coffee, fruits, eggs , bread or arepa could change variety after a few days.

The house is beautiful, very clean and with nice interior. Because it is also a coworking space they offer a big public space and a good kitchen. The best is the view from the hammock or the table at the veranda! There you can enjoy the included breakfast, which was really good (good coffee). Be aware that you have to walk 5 to 10 min up the hill from the "town" to the finca.

The mattrasses were a bit too hard for us, but that's the only thing we had to complain about.

"A perfect place to stay in Minca if you want to be close to the town but able to relax and recharge"

10.0

- It's up a hill (7 minute hike) with no neighours so it's very quiet and peaceful - All the owners and staff are super friendly - Clean and comfortable room that's cleaned each day - Brilliant viewpoint to see the sunset - Nice outdoor dining/chill-out area with views of the mountains and Santa Marta - They can have food delivered to the place if you don't want to walk into town - Well equipped kitchen for cooking any type of meal There's not many people staying and no activities organized but for me and most people we really loved this because it was a perfect place to really relax, enjoy nature and just move at a very slow pace. I booked 2 nights but stayed 5 and was very sad to have to leave.

"Stay a night longer if you can"

10.0

Beautifully located an a hill, with a safe distance from the hustle and bustle of Minca, this Casa Quinta is the perfect spot for everyone looking for a place to relax. It has a nice outdoor lounge area with hammocks, a private mirador 5min up the hill to watch the sunset, a beautiful garden, a well equipped kitchen, a bar in the afternoon, nice rooms, and friendly staff. Almost everyone we talked to wanted to stay at least a day longer than originally booked and for us it was clear why.

Nothing negative to add here. As others have mentioned, the finca is located up a hill, and you will need to walk a few minutes along the main road from Minca's center and then 10min more up a private road. It's well worth it and if you feel lazy you can either take a moto taxi or even order food up there.
