Palacio de Sansol

The albergue is located in an old Palacio which makes it very special. The rooms are very beautiful and the beds comfortable.

Beautiful old building and lovely private room with lots of character in the charming village of Sansol. Pleasant outdoor areas. Right on the Camino. Very dedicated hosts who have only recently taken over the running of the albergue. Lovely to hear about the history of the property and the story of the hosts at the pilgrim meal. The first course of the pilgrim meal was delicious.

There were no other options of places to eat on the night we stayed in Sansol. Shops had already closed by the time we arrived. We booked for the Camino meal which was the most expensive we'd had at 17€ pp. It was great to meet other pilgrims. The main course of the meal was disappointing after the lovely first course.

Der herzliche Empfang (Vermieterin spricht deutsch). Das gemeinsame Abendessen mit den Pilgern. Die liebevoll renovierten Zimmer im denkmalgeschützten Haus.

Parkplatz war öffentlich, aber aufgrund der Lage des Hauses sicher. Frühstück zum mitnehmen (Idee ok für Pilger) aber leider alles in Plastik verpackt.

sehr freundliches Personal; gemeinsames Abendessen mit geschichtlicher Unterrichtung über den Palacio; Frühstücksbereitstellung für den nächsten Tag; herrliche Lage mit schönnen Terrassen und ausreichende Wasch- und Trocknungdmöglichkeiten.

das hat mit der Unterkunft selbst nichts zu tun, aber das frühe Wachwerden durch einige, die sich um 5.30 Uhr fertigmachen zum Aufbruch… halt Pilgerherberge…
