Banphe​ Hostel

It felt really safe, rooms were lovely and management were really friendly!

Location was close to piers leading to koh samet. They had decent free coffee and shampoo. The price was very cheap compared with other options

Room was a bit hot with fan only. The shared bathrooms were downstairs with bedrooms upstairs. Staff were only around about one hour per day and were unable to help with any tourist info like ferry timetables or where to buy tickets

The location was right in the center. Seconds away for m a 7-11. Also there's a pub across the street. Very quiet. Must visit the Fighting Rooster place ! Can't miss it, The owner are very nice, I took many photos with them.

I wish we had lamps by the bed. If you had to get up in the middle of the night, there's no light to see. I had to find my cell phone and walk over to the the switch on the wall.

There was a common washroom on ground floor for 8 rooms and a dormitory. There was no ventilation in the room.

Nothing. I changed hotels. During the dark night surrounded by unfriendly street dogs.

I changed hotels after 2 hours. The room smelt like mold and trapped heat - no window- I was sure there would be insects in the walls. The common area was very run down. Each couch had a staff member laying all across it and they didn’t move. I sat at the 7/11 to eat instead. Theres really nothing to see and even for a night, it is all dead by 8pm. I regret staying here. They said there were other guests but I saw none in my short time and theres no staff after 10pm - there was no way I was staying in that place alone. Eery vibe for sure. I have no idea how this place gets good reviews but 100% the owner pays the staff very very little, the effort put in was less than is humanely possible

A small windowless room equipped with a fan turned into a furnace overnight and I never got a wink of sleep. Unsurprisingly, it also smelled of mold. The whole building feels dirty and dingy. I wouldn't stay here again.
