Mochilero Ostello

I could see the dim outline of Kanchenjunga, not the clear view because it was hazy. Personally it was still good. Anyway April was not the right time to see the clear view. Michilero(backpacker in Spanish) Ostello(hostel in Italian) was a great place to stay in Pelling. Everything - home made food, family atmosphere  - was perfect. And Wake in Himalayas, the hostel next to Mochilero Ostello, was also a nice place run by warm hearted family.

A perfect getaway from the city lights,located in the foothills of Kanchenjungha,this serene location is bound to steal your heart! The ownwe Mr Nimesh is a gracious host who went out of the way to make my stay a memorable one! Much love to Team Mochirello!

An alternative and off the beaten track place to stay in lower Pelling. It’s social, cozy and relaxed. Also it’s clean and the beds in the 5 bed dorm are soft. Home cooked breakfast and dinner can be provided if you’d like. Staff are friendly, chatty and happy to help.

It’s a decent 25 minute track up or down relative to Pelling, in return you get a great if the weather is clear. There’s a fire place outside in front of the dorm which can be heard clearly at night.

The view from the hostel is astonishing which counterpart is the remote location easily accessible by shared jeep and little walk. The team is super friendly and will make everything for you to spend a great time in Pelling!
