3 Bedroom Log Cabin in Snowdonia nr MTB trails

Very good - although the first night it was very cold but on the second night we found a hot water bottle and to turn on the storage heaters.

The place needed a deep clean ,It obviously hadn't had a proper clean in a long time it smelt fusty the cutlery was filthy .the mattress was stained with no protectors on ,i could go on for ages .we paid for a week but only stayed 1 night and booked into somewhere else ss had to pay again it was just filthy.

The setting was peaceful, set in beautiful surroundings. Lodge was clean and homely. I personally love the contactless check in.

The location

Bedding was unclean , fridge door shelf broken, outdoor furniture rotting away. Bedding was a particularly poor situation- tried to feedback to reception only to find out that the property is privately managed and so they couldn’t help. £120 cleaning fee seems highly inappropriate!

It was cute

Cups were dirty and just placed back in the cupboard, rubbish under the beds, some of the cutlery still has food on it from previous people. Fence slats were broken so dog could get out.

I loved the location and the outdoor patio area of the lodge… The park for the children was great and the fact the area was dog friendly! The staff were also helpful on arrival and the emails / messages with all your info is incredibly useful and efficient.

I wish the decor in the lodge was a bit nicer, and cleaned with pride… The cushions looked thrown onto the couches, the blankets were scruffily folded up , lamp shade was wonky and curtains weren’t folded back neatly. I feel like these finishing touches would have really made it a lot nicer! Also wish the shop at reception stocked more as it’s a bit of a drive to get bits and bobs you may need…
