Abashiri Ryuhyou no Oka guesthouse

For the price you pay you do get a full room for your own and not a dormitory. Considering I am staying in Abashiri in a peak Ryouhou (ice) watching season, the value for money is unrivaled.

The guesthouse is on quite a hike to get to if you do not have a car. But it is not a downside if you have everything planned.

Grand espace commun. Dortoirs confortable. Très belle vue sur la mer depuis les hauteurs de la colline. Gentillesse du propriétaire qui propose systématiquement de nous déposer en ville le matin.

Un peu difficile de s’y rendre quand on n’est pas motorisé.

オーナーの方が親切で、優しく話をしてくれたので、安心して利用することができました。天気が良いと、眺望も良く、ホテルの名前、そのままの景色を楽しむことができます。無料の駐車場もあるので、車でも心配なくアクセスができます。

部屋の掃除が隅々まではされておらず、少しほこりが目立ちました。シャワールームも利用時間が短かったので、慌ただしく利用することになってしまった。

A very cute bnb that’s been running a long time. It’s in a beautiful spot on top of a hill with a great hill. Very clean and although old, it had everything we needed.

As a family with two young ish kids it didn’t feel like the best place for us. There were lots of rules and expectations around noise and other things that made us a bit on edge. Also the breakfast didn’t seem worth the money and you’re only able to use the microwave and fridge to store and cook your own food - no access to bowls or cutlery or anything. Finally beware of the location as you cannot bus from here into the city. We had bikes so it didn’t bother us (except the big hill 😅).
