La Ponderosa Reserve

We stayed in the cabañas and they are beautiful. An al fresco shower is such a great touch. The permaculture tour was wonderful too, so insightful and interesting. They are doing some really special work there. I cannot flaw the place. It is a bit of bop to get too but it is so worth it, I wish we could’ve stayed longer

Great food, beautiful location, fun way of getting there. Switching off the WiFi in the evening creates a good atmosphere for socialising. Good place to switch off for a few days. Indigenous and permaculture tour is worth doing. Interesting project, would be cool to see what the land looks like in the future

- While meals were great, they weren't always the most filling. Free breakfast is of disappointing quality compared to the rest of the food. - Polyester sheets are terrible to sleep on in the tropics (sweaty), and are the main culprit in the generation of microplastics - not exactly an eco-conscious choice - Tubing out of the hostel was overpriced, and not a great activity in the end

Amazing location, we have been travelling for 8 months and this has been our favourite hostel. We met great people here, the staff were great and the activities all fun. The food was also some of the best we have had in our whole trip.

This is the most beautiful and welcoming hostel on the north coast. From the staff, volunteers and tranquil location its best hostel around. I stayed on the north coast for three months and found it so hard to leave Ponde - thanks for everything guys! Until next year

Beautiful place in the middle of nowhere. It’s so peaceful and surrounded by nature, and the food is incredible. It was our favourite place we stayed in our whole time in Colombia.

Minor point but the private rooms didn’t have any fans and were sheltered from any breeze so it got very hot at night so would recommend staying in a dorm if you’re sensitive to the heat

The access to the river is great, the property is beautiful and the staff is super nice! Also the food is amazing!!

If you have a small budget, having to eat every meal there is not ideal

Everything, you can go on hikes (ask for Jojo), lots of activities, the nicest people you will meet on your travels and more. Surrounded in the most sustainable place, in nature, with nature.

Nothing, expect some nights the portion sizes could be a little too small ... Oh and once you get there you never want to leave, so that makes leaving kind of difficult.
