Fable Hostel

Sehr nettes Personal, Betten bequem, Steckdose, Vorhang und Licht bei jedem Bett. Sehr viel Platz im Schlafraum. Schliessfächer für Tagesrucksack. Nahe zum Strand (eintritt 30p). Sie organisieren jeden Abend 'familydinner' wo man sich anmelden kann und mit anderen vom Hostel essen (und trinke) geht, es wird über Wapp Gruppe informiert. Duschen&WC gross und sauber.

Es liegt etwas ausserhalb des Dorfs, war froh hatte ich schon am Hafen einen Scooter gemietet (auch mit Auto Führerschein möglich) um alles zu sehen und zu erreichen.

De kamers waren ruim, de locatie was perfect en het personeel was heel vriendelijk. De family dinners waren een goede manier om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten!

Het bed was een beetje hard. Je moest je schoenen uit in de gezamenlijke ruimte maar als je dan naar je eigen kamer moest en had geregend werden je voeten alsnog vies omdat je aan een kant je schoenen uitdeed

They really managed to create a nice social vibe and attract the right kind of people. Kept going to the social dinners after I moved to a hotel room when my girlfriend arrived.

Amazing travelers that came through. Clean, well thought out, has everything you need.

Would recommend including body wash and shampoo. Maybe consider an electric egg steamer :)

The staff were so helpful and kind, the room was very spacious. Brilliant amenities and the free breakfast, teas and coffees all day was a nice touch. We also felt very safe here there was security around or someone to ask if we needed help. Would 100% reccomend the stay

The best hostel I stayed at during my time in the Philippines and potentially one of the best ones I've stayed at in the region - and I've stayed in quite a few. As soon as you arrive all of the staff members learn your name and make sure to help you out with pretty much anything you need help with - renting scooters, doing laundry, giving their recommendations on activities as well as restaurants, you name it! The whole crew running the place are absolutely hilarious and always up for a friendly chat or some banter. The family dinners they organize are a great way to connect with other travellers and they usually head out to one of the local bars afterwards. Make sure to join the karaoke night with the staff - it's one of my fondest memories from my time in the Philippines. There's also a very open and social environment overall since the dorms all are situated around the "hang out area" in the middle of the hostel grounds. The staff will also add you to the hostel-group chat were they send out updates on what's going on everyday and where you can organize activities with other people staying here. I could come back to Siquijor simply because of the good vibes this place had.

Keep in mind that this place is not located in the center of San Juan - so you'll have to rent a scooter or go by tricycle in order to get into town. It's not a negative in any way - but it's worth keeping in mind when planning your trip.
