Great host and great location

Excellent location, great hosting, very tasty breakfast and lunch can be ordered. Homely and friendly.

Love this place! Its like a home from home, very cosy and comfortable and the owner is really friendly and knowledgable about Varanasi. Great location too, only a short walk from the river and close to shops and restaurants.

Way too narrow road. Super hard to find , n they may deny your request. I suggest to book a good 3star above hotels only

Narrow road u can’t even find anything

The Hostel is very cozy and makes you feel at home. Gaurav allowed us to stay one more day without any problem cause we were sick. He also offers very nice tours around the city. If we ever come back to Varanasi we won’t doubt on staying here again!! :)

The owner family was really friendly and helpful!! I asked before for a room with a window and the owner did answer fast that it’s no problem. I think we had the best room (top floor) and it was so nice that it was quiet. Also I have to say that the house/ room was so clean and you can reach everything around by walking. Loved it. Thank you for everything!

The mattrace could be a little bit softer for my taste.

The food was very good but quantity was an issue. The guide service by their men was somehow good but resulted in unnecessary shopping of cloths from their own shops and unnecessary accompany by some sadhus and guides whom we were told to donate unwillingly. Though we saved some time but this was somehow not good. They should have told about the fees by unexpected sadhus and guides, in advance. This may be commonly happening with overseas guests too.

The location is like a labyrinth with very narrow walkways, which took extra efforts, time and extra hefty fares by manual rickshaws to transfer our luggage from/to main road to the hostel. If you have very less luggage then fine else you should look for hotels which are accessible by vehicles. The private boat proposed and booked by Hostel was not satisfactory w.r.t cost or safety. On finding better deals by our own, I requested to cancel the boat within few hours of booking, which was denied and I had to pay full amount. It is suggested, better don't book full boat upfront from hostel and study a bit for ticket based system rather than hiring full boat.

First impressions … why did I select this because the reception look like a second hand shop but rooms are clean, staff are wonderful and the location is good
