Girassol Hostel by Katita

The location is right beside the bus and everything is close, i needed to leave my bag for the day because my bus was late and they allowed me to stay after check out.

Cold shower. Poor facilities. The reception should know that we hear everything you say in the kitchen from the bathroom, so when you talk behind our backs or compare one guest to the other, we hear it.

The host is really nice, kind lady, who will tell you about the city or recommend something and is willing to help. Everything was clean and cleaned regularly.

If you are not used to sleep with the fans on, remember to choose bed that is not in the wind.

Highly recommend! It's so much close to the terminal station, just one minute walking, easy reach to supermarket and restaurant. Clean. Big space both public area and room. I love the balcony. Katira is a such nice lady, I enjoy my stay here, and definitely would stay again if any chance back to Paraty.

Katia was a wonderful host. The hostel is a good one and I enjoyed it, but I can't give the max score for two reasons: it was very hot and there were mosquitos that I couldn't take a proper rest. I'll come next time but I'll bring lots of repellent and my own fan!

Good location close to the bus station and centro histórico!

Only the very basic facilities, no common area and only two washrooms for the entire hostel.

Katita runs a good hostel for backpackers. The mixed hostel I was in open to a wrap around balcony. It is located about a 5-minute walk to the old town. There is an excellent eatery below the hostel. The bus station is a 3 minutes away.

Katita Wass lovely host, the property was really wonderfully clean, the location was great (right near the bus station and a short walk to the old town). The kitchen was well equipped.

It’s on a busy street so it’s the quietest (bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper), there’s also not really much common space to hang out in, but the rooms are big.
