Good location and cheap price.

- They have rude comminication style in writing. Their messages are in a way threathening. The man in the check-in desk was nice though, I have to give that. - The location is wrong on the map and it's not easy to find the hostel. The correct name is Auberge Jeunesse québec central on Google Maps, otherwise you won't find it. - The area is totally full of junkies and drug abusers, they are yelling and shouting during the night. - The hostel is run-down and not really clean. The lobby is full of random stuff, the fridge looks disgusting. - There is a woman sitting in front of the rooms at all times, she even sleeps outside on a couch. Probably she works there. But she is constantly coughing badly, which is very annoying after a while, and it disturbs people's sleep during the night. With all due respect, I don't know why she is there. - The beds are extremely uncomfortable. - Not good price value. I don't expect much from a hostel, after all they are not 5* hotels. But this one underperformed in all aspects. Choose a different one if you have a few extra dollars in your budget. Being the cheapest hostel does not have to mean that you are also poor in service.

The room was quiet. It was a reasonable walk into the tourist part of town, but was relatively near the train/bus station.

The email communication from the hostel came across as rude. However, the man who checked me in was friendly and helpful. The property could do with some renovation.
