Not as per advertised. Translation was so difficult that the lady did not understand anything. A run down place not value for the price ..

No English so no advice on city maybe should have been a bit cheaper. .

The location was convenient to reach central town by walking

The property needs a refresh, the wall paper was all damaged and dirty. I booked the private room with private bathroom, it was a big room and cheap, but a small effort to modernise it together with attention to details will make a whole difference (ie no bedside lamp, so you either keep a very bright light on or you are in the dark, also you have to get up from bed to switch it on and off). The Wi-Fi signal didn’t reach my room, I then find out there was a dedicated modem in my room that required to be plugged in. But since nobody spoke English, nobody told me. It was a real pity not to be able to communicate with the staff, as I would have needed infos about my stay and what to do in Xining. They seemed to be helpful but because of the language barrier they seemed relived when there wasn’t an attempt to interact with them. I was fooled by some reviews I read and booked 3 nights, definitely too long of a stay. I guess European standards are different when it comes to accommodations.

The staff was very friendly. The facilities had kitchen and laundry. Very convenient.

People smoking. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and no think curtains.

Price and location was good. Staff was very friendly, shared tea with our group.

Property needs screes over windows for mosquitoes. Also fans would be nice to help ventilate the room at night.
