Loved the quirkiness of the place. The kids enjoyed the different rooms, furniture, pool table etc

We were located right near the kitchen, so it was a bit noisy late at night and early in the morning.

We’ve been coming here for years, because it feels like a home away from home in the lovely little town of Port Fairy. We always enjoy meeting other travellers in the communal areas. The chairs in the TV room are big and comfortable - great for watching Test cricket or long tennis matches. The place has a “youth hostel” vibe, which we quite like. It’s definitely family and older-traveller friendly. The facilities aren’t pristine but you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

No big deal for us, but better lighting outside our room would have helped at night time.

Amazing atmosphere, very relaxing and one of the few hostels I stayed at where there is still a sense of community building, and the staff played a major role in that. The rooms and the common facilities were very clean, and the kitchen, while relatively small, still had everything one might need to cook most meals.

The only reason I can't give this hostel a 10/10 is the beds in the dorm I slept in. Unfortunately I did not find them very comfortable, they were too hard for me. I would still return, but maybe I will book a different room next time :)

The location was incredible. It was right next to the main square and a short walk to the Griffith Island walking loop. The staff were great and the property is authentic and rustic in a great way.

In comparison to other hostels we've stayed at, the ability to have locked storage in our room was limited

Central location, within easy walk of shops, the marina and the seashore. Historic buildings with (unsurprisingly) quaint, rustic feel.
