YHA Helvellyn

YHA Helvellyn is located in the valleys with close proximity to Helvellyn. About a 25 minute walk from the centre of Glenridding, its location is peaceful and very picturesque. Our stay was really good, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hostel itself had good facilities. The rooms were nice and convenient, the bathrooms were clean and stocked and the communal areas and armchairs were really lovely. Good value for our money and an overall really pleasant stay for a trip to the Lake District! We would definitely return without hesitation.

The WiFi didn't always reach our room but is still accessible in the communal areas.

Long and very bumpy lane to get to the hostel, no shower gel in showers, no reading lights in bedrooms and poor wifi.

Welcomed with a very friendly smiles after a long days walk. The women running the place when I arrived was fantastic, and very jolly. This place has a great selection of books and super comfy bedding in one of the most stunning locations
