"Great remote place if you need to disconnect from the hustle and bustle"

6.0

The area is maravillosa, quiet, disconnected from the world, ladies who were there made my stay more interesting by chatting about the culture and changes within the last 30 years in Colombia, views are incredible; soups were delicious! family vibe was fun. If you're a hike lover it's a great place with many different points on a map to visit! there are mats and a couple weights for the simplest workout. Kitties, dogos, a hen(please, get her a compatible friend!), monkeys, kolibris and parrots around <3

There are only a few options in the restaurant, and the vegan and vegetarian meals can't always be considered a full meal (for the first dinner we had pasta with tomato sauce, and for another, rice with salad and plátanos) also for vegans besides the fruits, that evening, nothing else was available as a snack. There's no other option to eat, if you don't have a car/moto, and prices are relatable high for what you get. Although there is a rule that you can't use a speaker to play music, one couple listened to loud music for quite a long time one evening what didn't let us enjoy the tranquil of the area. Due to the house’s construction, earplugs are a must. The house is remote, so keep in mind that it takes a while to reach any facilities, and you need to buy everything you need in the pueblo, otherwise, it costs 50k to take a moto there, with a bad weather you're stuck with no options to do. PLEASE! get another hen for that poor one which is alone there :'(

Wow, this place looks incredible for nature lovers! I can totally see myself getting lost in the scenery and just breathing in the fresh air. It seems like the perfect spot to escape the everyday hustle. I'm definitely adding this to my list of places to go again.

Just a heads-up for anyone planning this trip. The route between these two locations can be pretty challenging. It's advisable to check recent road reports before heading out. Be prepared for some tricky driving conditions. But it's handable.

"Our favourite hostel"

10.0

We loved our stay at Mano Verde! It was so comfortable and welcoming. The food was delicious and plentiful. They had routes for hikes available and were happy to call you a moto whenever. We didn’t want to leave!

The road is a bit sketchy when arriving, better to get a moto than a 4x4. It’s worth it when you arrive.

"A peaceful jungle escape with stunning views, rich wildlife, and warm hospitality — the perfect blend of nature, comfort"

10.0

A true hidden gem in the heart of nature! Mano Verde offers breathtaking jungle views, incredible birdwatching (yes, plenty of toucans!), and peaceful hike to waterfall. We loved the warm welcome from the so friendly team, the cozy room with hot shower and the delicious food. Pure paradise for nature lovers — can’t recommend it enough! We consciously chose this eco-friendly hostel to travel sustainably — and didn’t miss a single bit of comfort. If you’re especially interested in the birdwatching tour, it’s best to check in advance to make sure it’s available during your stay.

The ride up with a 4x4 was quite bumpy, so we recommend staying for several nights to truly enjoy the experience and make the journey worthwhile.

- amazing view and sounds from nature - very good food, everyone eats dinner together - bid dorms - tap water is safe to drink

- little possibility to hang clothes - wood cracks loudly - no fridge or place to prepare your own food

"A little paradise"

10.0

Location, staff, the wooden house, the dorms, the excellent food and joint meals (also vegetarian alternative): everything of highest standard. Valentin and his team (including the two dogs) are wonderful and the place is in the middle of nature/wildlife: hikes are varied and you can watch/hear many birds and see beautiful sunsets. The 40 minute ride by mototaxi to the hostel is great, a little adventure included. I will definitely come back, but then stay longer!

"Superb"

9.0

Location is great and quite an adventure to get to. Before you book you should be aware that it’s a gnarly 40m moto ride to get up there. Once you’re up there though, THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE. There was also a nice social atmosphere so it was easy to meet people to go on the hikes around the area with. This was the perfect place to have a super mellow weekend. Clean showers, clean rooms, good WiFi.

The way the floors are built makes for a very noisy night. Every step someone takes on the second floor sounds like they are jumping up and down right next to your bed. As with everywhere around Minca, the bugs are everywhere. Bug spray not optional. There is also a whole main common room that is kind of a weird dead space, would like to see them make that area a little more inviting.
