Location and price couldn't be beat. A single room with bath for $21 USD

Self check in is fine but I never saw a single soul until the next morning. I came and went multiple times and it was just creepy. Some of the outlets didn't work but the one by the bed did, so bonus. Faucet leaked terribly. Place is old, building is ancient but again for the price?! Can't complain. But not your typical bustling hostel.

Perfect localisation inside the citadel. The room and the bathroom were clean. The building is a historical house. Very fair prices.

The kitchen is in the basement. And it's very humid (and that's normal for a basement but it's not the best place to put a kitchen). The vending machines are not working.

Maybe it was the off-season,but the hostel was completely empty, which felt a bit uncomfortable. I only stayed for two hours before checking out and moving to a 3-star hotel down in the town. If you are a solo traveler like me and prefer not to be in an empty place, I wouldn't recommend staying here during the off-season.
