Itzé Hostel

Smaller friendly hostel with lots of character and homey vibe. Perfect location. Short walk to beach and restaurants/bars but still quiet on our street. Nice little seating area out on the street as well out in the back as well as a patio on the roof. Good kitchen and small but decent breakfast and drip coffee made in a carafe so you could help yourself to numerous cups. Liked that I could bring my own cervecas/alcohol inside unlike many hostels I encountered. Small dorm rooms with only 2 bunk beds/4 beds in each, clean comfy sheets/mattresses, A/C good level, not freezing, and controllable.

Seemed a bit expensive on first impression for a dorm room in a small hostel, but as I really came to enjoy my stay, didn't mind what it may have cost by the end of it and one probably has to pay more of a premium for staying on a smaller island. Washroom/showers were adequate but felt like it could use some updating/reno, and the sink location was terrible - someone could swing open the door right into you upon entering, so I just held the door open with my foot as I washed my hands, lol! Perhaps they need a sliding door instead! The signora a bit strict with my friend for lingering and not checking out on time, but then he paid for another night and it was fine, and I can't really blame her because it's all on her to manage the place!

My stay at the hostel was marked by its fantastic location, just a stone's throw away from Playa Norte and all the amenities. The staff was incredibly supportive and polite, ensuring excellent communication.

The comfort of the mattress left much to be desired, as it seemed to be a worn-down piece of foam. Additionally, the bathrooms had a noticeable odor, and it appeared that they could benefit from more thorough cleaning attention. Despite these drawbacks, the hostel's prime location and the helpful staff made for a decent overall experience.

It was really close to the beach and restaurants. The room was standard for a hostel. The hosts were great, especially Victoria, who was really friendly and helpful

The staff were amazing. They were very helpful, friendly, and considerate.

The bed was warped metal with little padding that hurt my back, so I left early. It was nowhere near the beach.

Quiet, friendly staff, good location...what else can you ask for?

Room with no windows

What a wonderful hostel! The rooms are simple but have everything you need, including privacy curtains on the top bunks, outlets, and a little shelf. The breakfast was delightful. The staff was amazing and so helpful. The showers DO have hot water, you just need to have a little patience and be willing to adjust the knobs to find the right setting. Great location minutes to playa norte and the main streets of Isla Mujeres. If you want to venture out further you can rent a bike from them (just don't lose the lock like I did!) Can also rent snorkeling gear, perfect for an early morning trip over to the lagoons!

The cleanliness. Kitchen and bathroom were impeccable, the ladies who run the place were tireless!

A bit small and no common areas to chill other than the kitchen and small bench outside.
