"Locatie minder, verder prima hostel"

De onsen was echt een fijne toevoeging van het hostel. Was erg lekker om na een lange dag de onsen in te kunnen. Ziet er netjes uit en ruim opgezet.

De locatie viel erg tegen. Voordat je bij Toba Nikko bent, ben je al 45 min verder. Mocht je dus de tempels willen bezoeken, dan zou ik een ander verblijf aanraden.

A spotless, efficiently-run onsen hotel/hostel in beautiful surroundings reminiscent of Germany. The dormitory was spacious and far from full, with huge windows and a table to work at in the middle of the room. Upstairs the communal area was similarly large, and blessed with the best kitchen I have seen in any hostel. Towels, soap, and even cooking ingredients were provided.

The onsen is only usable from 16:00-23:00.

Room are small but comfortable, very new and clean. Dinning area and kitchen is a plus point. Very nice and cosy. Onsen also very nice especially the outdoor pool

The quietness of the place and the area, the amazing view on the forest and the river, the outdoor Onsen, I would stay for another week if I could!

"Great place to stay"

We had a car so good access to Nikko and surrounding areas. Had a private double room, had all we needed and a fridge. Used the kitchen and lounge facilities. Staff helpful. Clean and tidy - stream running by the hostel and great view of the mountain. Would recommend. Didn't use the Onsen facilities but looked nice. Tattoo friendly.
