the staff were nice

We were staying there for 2 nights, after the first night they cleaned out my bed and gave it to someone else. I had personal items and clothes on the bed which I had to search and find later. I will admit that the staff was helpful when I alerted them to the situation but they were hard to find (no one at the reception during the working hours, they were in the restaurant downstairs) and this is very unprofessional and should not have happened in the first place.

Just a 7 minutes walk from Matsumoto station and around 10 minutes walk to the castle. Very comfortable room, nice staff, clean, they offer free coffee, tea and snacks at the hall. Great quality-price.

They have no dryer for the clothes and just one shower and one WC on the floor (but we were just 4 persons there). Just one washing machine.

Good location, friendly staff. Cheap washing machine use was handy.

Bed was uncomfortable, pillow was mouldy, aircon was loud, the room was damp- had trouble sleeping.

Because this trip is hiking in the mountains of Japan, we have to store our large suitcases. We are very happy to be able to store our luggage for free, so that we have no worries. We will stay here next time

The property is right between Matsumoto Station, Matsumoto Castle, and other key sightseeing locations (as well as the restaurant/bar area), making it perfect for exploring the town on foot. The shared facilities were also a nice touch, as there was free coffee/tea for guests and it was very spacious. Personally, I most enjoyed the room itself, as it was well air-conditioned and the bunks were quite spacious. (We were the first to check-in on that floor, so we were able to pick the one extra large bunk in the back of the room.) The host was also very kind, and there was plenty of information available to tourists.

This hostel is perfectly located - short walking distance to both the train station and Matsumoto Castle. The dividers in the room made it feel like each bunk was an individual room - great for privacy (although still the noise issues of any hostel). The beds were very soft and comfortable. Free coffee in the morning was a nice bonus!

There was no staff around in the morning, so I was not able to leave my luggage (however plenty of lockers available at the nearby train station for quite cheap). The bathroom is a bit run down, and one toilet which can get quite dirty during the day. Otherwise, and perfectly enjoyable stay and I would stay again!

Really spacious room. Not too far from Matsumoto station.

I was very comfortable, not much people when I stayed there. I loved the coffee machine. Reception lady was very lovely 🥰. Location is great close to the castle

It was not easy to find where it was. Room still has some works to be done.
