Location at day time

We stayed one night in a private room while travelling around Luxembourg. We arrived before 10 p.m. because the policy says check-in must be before that time, and we wanted to make sure everything was fine. The staff member at reception tried to be polite, but overall the experience was disappointing. When we checked in, we were given bed sheets and had to make the beds ourselves. When you rent a private room and pay around £100 for one night, you normally expect the beds to already be prepared. The photos online showed a room with two single beds, which was perfect for me and my son. However, when we arrived, the room was a very large empty dorm-style room with four beds. The receptionist told us that although there were extra beds, no one else would come in because we had booked it as a private room. Still, it felt strange and not very welcoming. There were also no towels provided. I had to buy a small shower gel from reception for €4.50, which seem ed very expensive for such a small item. Another issue was that our friends were not allowed to come into the building even for a moment to help us drop our backpacks in the room. The receptionist said it was hostel policy and that she could lose her job if she allowed anyone in. I understand rules are rules, but it felt very strict and unfriendly. In the morning, we were also asked to remove the bed sheets ourselves and place them in a special collection area. So essentially we had to make the beds when we arrived and do part of the housekeeping when leaving as well, which felt unusual for a private room at this price. The only positive thing about this hostel is the location, which is convenient for day time. Unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable, the breakfast had very limited options, and overall the stay did not feel worth the price. For the amount we paid, I expected more comfort and a warmer welcome. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hostel based on our experience.

A comida é maravilhosa, os funcionários são muito educados e competentes! A limpeza dos quartos e áreas comuns é feita TODOS os dias. O ambiente é seguro e confiável! Os quartos são espaçosos e organizados.

As portas do prédio (quartos e áreas comuns) são muito pesadas.

Fácil acesso a transporte Atendimento maravilhoso. As meninas que trabalham na recepção são muito educadas e atenciosas! Quartos limpinhos e organizados.O quarto q fiquei tina uma janela imensa😍 Café da manhã simples, porém atendia muito bem e era muito gostoso.
