Hostel Riga KVANT

The lady who works there doesn’t speak English but there was no language barrier - we used google translate and manage to communicate. She was helpful and nice. The location is a bit far from city centre, but for me it didn’t matter - I came for a night before my flight so it is a great location for people who have early flights. There’s only one shower, but not once I had to wait for others. I was lucky that almost for the whole stay I had a room for myself - so instead of 6 people I was alone. Liked the beds with curtains and the mattress was perfect for me.

BED BUGS. So I didn’t expect to see bed bugs at night, but there were plenty of them!! So I would be really careful about that. I had a privilege to change a bed at night time, because I was alone in the room, but they still bit me and I had an ongoing issues with them for a week afterwards so be really cautious about that. Most likely this is the reason why I wouldn’t come back there unless I would check the room beforehand.

da evitare assolutamente! alle 11 di sera nessuno mi ha aperto la porta, il numero di telefono indicato sul sito in realtà non è valido, mi hanno aiutato i ragazzi di passaggio di trovare un altro numero del tel. lenzuola, cuscini, gli asciugamani puzzano di sporco, infatti, lo sono! lo scarico nella doccia non funziona, ma tutto questo è niente al confronto delle zecche! mi mordevano tutta la notte!!! è un disastro assoluto! la prenotazione del taxi in reception a pagamento. al arrivo del taxi alle 7,15 del mattino la porta del uscita era chiusa, ho fatto fatica trovare una persona viva in tutta la struttura per aprirmela. ho pagato una notevole somma al taxista di avermi aspettato per mezzora ! consiglio di evitate questo posto...è davvero orribile.

The rooms where above expectations

I arrived at the hotel at 1:45 AM after confirming with them through the booking app earlier in the day that late check-in would not be a problem. They had told me to simply call a number on arrival and someone would let me in. When I got there, the front door was locked. I called the number several times — the first time there was no answer, the second time someone picked up, said “no no,” and hung up. After calling again, they finally said they would come. An older lady arrived, looked through the window, and asked me to show my booking. As soon as I showed it, she said “no booking” and walked away, leaving me outside. After ringing again, she came back but still refused to let me in. She only spoke Russian and tried to communicate via Google Translate, insisting that I did not have a reservation. I showed my confirmation, but she claimed her eyesight was too poor to read it and that “Booking.com doesn’t allow zoom.” This back-and-forth went on for 1 hour, after I was left outside in a semi-shady area in the middle of the night for almost 1 hour. Finally, at around 3:30 AM, she gave up and handed me the key to my room. The whole experience was stressful, unprofessional, and frankly unacceptable. I was treated very poorly, left outside for almost an hour, and it literally took two hours to check in. ⚠️ Do NOT book this hotel if you plan to arrive late or if you don’t speak Russian.

Super clean and very quite and safe, very big beds huge space its lika small room :). Also very nice lady working there in the reception treating you like the family member.

Its not super close to the main attraction and if you want to go there night or etc they close the door but at the same time its good if you want peacefulness

The bathroom was old and nasty, so dirty and the shower was broken, also there is not a toilet in it The kitchen was very dirty
