Nonmembers of Hosteling International (HI) must purchase the membership card at the hostel upon arrival. Towels are not included in the rate. Das super nette und zuvorkommende Personal, die über die Nacht offene kleine Bar und Lounge, die klaren und unkomplizierten Regelungen und Abläufe vom Einchecken bis Ausschecken, die gut und praktisch gestalteten Räumlichkeiten.

Die Zimmertüren sind deutlich zu schwer zu öffnen: das behindert beim Gepäck hinein- und hinaustragen. Für einen Rollifahrer (und die Rollibefahrbarkeit ist einer der tollen Vorteile der DJH Oldenburg) sind diese Türen kaum aufzukriegen.
