Then I did not stay longer

The hostel is beautiful with some gorgeous trees with hummingbirds roaming around and a comfy hammock just outside the room. The shared kitchen was kept clean.

-The biggest issue with the stay was one of the owners. The day I checked out I left the key exactly where I found it on arrival: on the room's door. At the time of checking out nobody was around, only a volunteer on his first day of work. I didn't receive any specific information about checking out. I left my bag for a few hours in the common area to go buy some food, and when I came back to get my bag, the owner accused me of losing the key, and that I should have given it to him at time of checking out (I hadn't been informed, and he was not around, and the volunteer didn't request that either) and wanted to charge 5 extra dollars for "losing" the key. After a while he realised the new guest had checked in and they had the key. He didn't even apologize and after that, he acted casual and requested to take a photo together which I denied. -I also felt that he was generally pushy, making comments about me having breakfast not in the hostel, or swinging the hammock I was resting on (we were not in friendly terms) interrupted me in a call, to try to sell a cake he had just made -lot of wood insects in the room, ok for couple nights, but annoying for a longer stay
