Majaka Hostel

The only good thing about my stay at this flophouse was, that for my first five days I was the only person in my six person dorm.

This flophouse (because it can't legitimately be called a hostel) was rundown, decrepit, in disrepair and filthy. The facility had poor showers with inadequate hot water. The staff were unable to communicate in English. The only guests (tenants) were those, who were otherwise homeless. I went to Monk's Hostel in Old Town after my stay here and it was like two different worlds. Monk's Hostel was clean and the staff were friendly and all fluent in English, and it was comparable in price to this flophouse.

It was an awful experience, the building seemed occupied, there was mold in the building and in the beds! It is totally a scam, a very unfortunate experience especially for girls travelling alone.
