Agüita House

The location is perfect, the staff is amazing and the vibe is chill. In the hostel the people get close and you will have good conversations and fun!

Cooking utility’s were a bit basic/ used.

location literally on the boardwalk/beachfront and close to buses, rooftop terrace, volunteer staff were great, optional social activities

lots of smoking owner/manager were MIA the entire time, including when the rooftop terrace flooded downstairs into the hall and kitchen and the unpaid volunteers were left to handle it on their own the building itself is a bit run down, paint peeling off the walls, front door didn't shut properly, black spots on the bathroom ceiling

Aguita House was my home away from home! Due to unfortunate circumstances I was asked to move to a sister hostel, Aguita House that was more than happy accomidate me. From the first day itself, they humbled me by treating me like fam, offering me beers and magnificent views from the rooftop. they made it so I just kept on coming back and ended up making Aguita house my home base. The volunteers, Felix, iana, lena, Renato, Alina, Anna, Alice and Giulia were exceptional. Always with a smile on their face, they helped and accomidated me with absolutely anything I could ask for. There organized events like Bachata nights, the beach viewing of the fish getting blown up, volleyball evenings and tiki taco nights are memories I will cherish forever. This place attracts the best personalities so the friends I made here in the hostel will be cherrished forever as well. We still kind of keep in touch and we all ended up staying there for much longer than expected. I super super reccomend this place, and hope you guys make the same memories we did while we were there

De persoonlijke en gastvrije sfeer waardoor je je meteen thuis voelt. Ik zat in de Frontera room met uitzicht op zee en 1 trap verwijderd van het leuke terras. Het was heerlijk slapen met open raam en ruisende zee, badkamer vlakbij. Leuke roommates op de kamer, waarbij men rekening hield met elkaar. De BBQ night op het terras was perfect georganiseerd door 'le chef', die verrukkelijke burgers maakte. Degenen die de hostal runden waren stuk voor stuk geweldige mensen. Er werden evenementen georganiseerd. Er waren dagen dat ik meer zon wilde en pakte de bus naar het zuiden of ik bezocht leuke plaatsen per bus. Het mooie stadstrand is ideaal voor strand- en waterliefhebbers, wandelingen door de branding, maar ook om na een vermoeiende dag op neer te ploffen. Al met al een TOP verblijf! Dank! 🌷🌼
