ALCATRAZ JAIL-HOSTEL

Amazing location in the old town close to all the sights, restaurants and shops. The hostel has a beautiful balcony with great views of the city. The hostel is always very clean and the beds very comfortable. The hostel theme is very unique and you can tell how much effort was put into it's design. There are large lockers to keep all your belongings. The hostel has key code entry so you can come and go as you please. The owner is very friendly, with a great sense of humour and you can tell how passionate she is about her hostel. I ended up extending 3 times! Would 100% recommend.

Everything was perfect

I liked the atmosphere - it was really interesting, very authentic. Everything looked like it was a real jail. The staff is very attentive, professional, cheerful and cool, they explained everything and gave me tips.

For me personally, there was a lot of synthetic underwear on the bed and my whole body itched from that synthetic. It was hard to sleep Then I booked a room 😂 for 4 people, but in fact it is a share of a room with 6 beds more and so we can say that we all slept together 10 people. Mostly this hostel is booked by men, so there were a few snorers 😂 And as for the girl, there was only one toilet and one bathroom for all of us, it was clean, but just to use the toilet in the evening there was a queue * for 10 minutes.

I had an excellent stay at this hostel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The location is fantastic, situated in a central area with easy access to major attractions, restaurants, cafés, shops, and public transportation. It made exploring the city incredibly easy and convenient. One of the first things I noticed was how exceptionally clean everything was. The room, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas were all spotless and very well maintained. The level of cleanliness throughout the property made me feel comfortable from the very beginning and contributed greatly to the overall quality of my stay. The hostel itself has a warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. It feels more like a home than a typical hostel. Whether you want to relax after a long day of sightseeing or simply enjoy a quiet and comfortable environment, this place is perfect. The attention to detail and the care put into maintaining the property are evident everywhere. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the manager. I have stayed in many accommodations over the years, and it is rare to meet someone so professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel welcome. The manager was always available to help, provided excellent recommendations, and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their hospitality and positive attitude truly made a difference and turned a great stay into an exceptional one. What I appreciated most was the personal touch and genuine care shown throughout my visit. It is clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here, and that creates an atmosphere where visitors feel valued and appreciated. Overall, this hostel offers an unbeatable combination of an excellent central location, outstanding cleanliness, a cozy environment, and exceptional management. It exceeded my expectations in every way, and I would gladly stay here again in the future.

Interessantes Interieur. Lage super, direkt in der Innenstadt, aber trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Es gibt einen Balkon und einen kleinen Gemeinschaftsbereich, wo man leicht andere Traveler kennenlernen kann. Kleine Küche ebenfalls vorhanden.
