The Wayan House

Location is ok, quiet side of Ubud.

The Wayan’s are a lovely family! Super gentle, rooms super clean, awesome breakfast and the granpha kindness and smile stays forever in my heart! I love my stay there!

Really nice vibe here. Very calm. Also really social. The staff are great too.

Really nice family with clean rooms, fresh bedding and big lockers to put stuff in. Amazing location for all of the shops, the palace, restaurant and monkey forest and the actual hostel has traditional Balinese decor and overall felt very safe and welcomed staying there. Breakfast was really good 8-11 with lots of choices pancakes, eggs, smoothie bowl made fresh in the social area bit. Very chill not very social but guess that depends on the people at the time. We booked the mount batur tour which was amazing and cheaper than what we saw online, offered lots more tours for quite cheap as well.

Bathroom is a bit old and smells a bit but fine to use and showered in there still. Pool looked a bit green but probably would have been fine (we didn’t have any time to go in).

I stayed only for one night in the center of Ubud, so the location was perfect. I spent the chilly day in the lovely garden and the nice swimming pool. Very nice, helpful staff. Clean room, bathroom, bed and towel. Next time I'm coming back there :)

They recently changed the name and the hostel is during rebranding. I was just confused by two different names for the same place. Squeaky and noisy upper bunk bed in dorm, it wasn't bothering me, I'm using earplugs, but it could be bothering other guests.
