HOSTEL CITADELLA

Hands down one of the cleanest and best hostels I've visited.

Honestly I have to say this is the most luxurious interior for a hostel I've ever stayed at. Showers hot and good pressure. Bed comfortable. Dorm room spacious and had large locker that could fit whole pack and day pack, you just add your own lock. Well located, a few blocks from mall part of town, park with statues almost next door. The fortress cable car is just around the corner (although it was not operational). You can walk up to the fort through the nearby park pretty easily. Likewise the train station is about 10 minutes walk where you can also catch buses to Hunedoara for 13 Romanian dollars each way so you can visit Corvin Castle (which costs 50 Romanian to get in by the way).

Wow everything!!! This place is more like a hotel than a hostel, the bed feels like a memory foam mattress, the sleep was amazing, the rooms are spacious, the lockers are a good size with a key, great location, staff member was amazing, i was let in as soon as i got there too early! The place is spotless, large lounge and kitchen with everything you would need and the train station and bus stations are super close and the way to the ruin is just around the corner. 100% spot on!!!

Hostel Citadella is nothing short of immaculate. It is beautifully renovated, super clean and very well organised. I wished we could have stayed longer than one night but we had a fixed schedule so we weren't able to. We had a view of the citadel from the window in our double room. The kitchen is well equipped and handy. The common area ver comfortable. It's a short walk from the train station and a close walk to the citadel trail, which is well worth the hike. We also took local buses to check out the Corvin Castle. Thank you Hostel Citadella for making our stay in Deva so simple and enjoyable.

Beds with curtains and big common area. Well equipped kitchen. While I was there it was very empty, one night I was the only Person in the hostel. Kind staff. Generally everything was great

I suppose because it was so empty the heating for the house wasn't on. In my room there was AC, but the hallway, bathroom and kitchen were quite cold. The light in the bathroom turns off quite fast. And from some toilets you can't reach the motion detector... so I sat in the dark quite a few times. In the upper bathroom take the middle one ;)

This place was a ten minute walk from the station and easy to find. The young lady who let me in spoke excellent English and explained everything really clearly. We had a twin room with a shared bathroom but I think we were the only ones in the hostel. There's a lovely kitchen and lounge area - would certainly stay here again. Oh and the showers are great.
