Good location, nice pool area

Basic rooms, which got very hot.

Great location, friendly owners, air conditioner in the room. Pool area is nice. Walking distance from national park.

Yubarta Lodge is perfectly located about a 10-minute walk from Marino Ballena National Park. Wonderful coffee shops and sodas nearby. The grounds are spacious. The pool is comfortable and clean. Three clean washrooms. Two great kitchen areas to cook. Incredible value. The best thing about staying in accommodations like this are the opportunities to meet other Travelers and talk about your adventures with them. We met young and old from all over the world and everybody that we talked to spoke highly of this hostel.

We had absolutely nothing to complain about. We felt very safe at all times in Uvita. Although the rooms were not air conditioned there were two fans in our room, and we had comfortable sleeps.

The location mainly

There was a very intense plastic smell when we arrived that thankfully went away just enough for it to be bearable (but it was still there). Electric sockets near the bed did not work. Our tent “view” was facing the shared bathrooms so opening the courtains was not an option. The floor of the tent was brittle and risky to walk on specially at night. The coffee maker cord didn’t reach the sockets that did work so I had to put it on the floor.
